QUESTION: I have been told it takes about eighty-five years for one to really understand the Bible. Is this true?
ANSWER: The more years one spends in study generally results in greater knowledge, no matter what the subject or material being studied. All books and material, however, can be fully understood and exhausted with the exception of God’s Word. It is inexhaustible! “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? Or who hath been His counseller?” (Romans 11:33-34).
