QUESTION: What is the difference in being baptized with the Spirit and being filled with the Spirit?

ANSWER: Being filled with the Spirit is discussed in the answer to the preceding question. “Baptism of the Holy Spirit” is very different from “being filled with the Spirit,” just as there is a great difference in the meaning of the two words “baptism” (immersion) and “filling.” Consider the action one would take if he were to “immerse” a cup for cleansing. Then consider the action if he were to “fill” a cup for drinking. The actions and purposes are totally different!
